So, this week I have been designing a Coffee Table Book for the mother of a bride whose wedding I photographed in Ruidoso, NM last summer. Susan, Shandie’s mom, got to pick out all of her favorite pictures from Shandie’s bridals, rehearsal, and wedding day, to be included in this book! I thought that I would post the spreads here for everyone to check out!
This past Saturday, I got to take pictures of Kurt and Jamie as they got married at the Windmill Museum here in Lubbock! I didn’t even know about this cool place until Jamie told me back in January that this is where the wedding would take place. I went out there on Friday to get a sneak peek of the location, and immediately fell in love! It is so cute, and really made for a nice event center, whether it be for a wedding like Jamie and Kurt’s, a family reuinion, banquet, reception, or otherwise! The staff there was so friendly and helpful, too!

For high school senior portraits! If you are a high school senior at any of the Lubbock or Abilene schools (or surrounding areas) then we are talking to you! There are lots of different options for senior pictures, so I posted a few below of last year’s seniors to see how much variety there can be! Don’t forget, we can also do custome graduation annoucements to send out instead of the standard school-purchased ones. Lots of new things in the air lately!! Me and Zane moving back to Abilene, new equipment, and now a new blog!! I hope that you love it as much as I do!! I really like the MUCH larger pictures that I can post, and the cool flash header at the top of the site! If you watch it, it rotates images every 3-4 seconds! SO cool! If you look at the last post with pictures, you can see the new larger pictures that I will have from here on out!! Scroll even more to older posts to see the previous pictures sizing. Speaking of new equipment, I decided to return the 5D that I got last week. Even though it is a WONDERFUL camera, I had something better in mind. I purchased the new 5D Mark II!!! I am BEYOND excited about it! It is 21 megapixels, with all the new bells and whistles, including video! I don’t plan on offering video to clients in the future, but man, you have to admit that it is cool! This camera was a bit more expensive than the 5D I had originally purchased, but after thinking about it, I decided to splurge!

For those of you that are in Lubbock that are scheduled for a photo session or a wedding – Don’t Worry!!! I will be driving back and forth as much as needed to make sure that I am there for every event that I have scheduled. For weddings, I plan on getting a hotel for Friday and Saturday nights so that I can make sure to be there for rehearsal dinners if that is part of your package, and make sure that I won’t have to drive back to Abilene really late after a reception.
