This wedding was absolutely gorgeous!! Michael and Kim go to Champions Church out on Buffalo Gap road, and a while back, the church bought the old white mansion near their building. Although it was and still is a bit dilapidated, Kim had it fixed up perfectly for the big day. There was a great room for the girls to get ready in, a gorgeous ceremony location, and a library for the guys to get ready and hang out in. Also in the library, Michael gave all of his groomsmen a sword that he specifically chose for each friend, and received a sword of his own from his bride. The reception was downtown at the Elks and it was the perfect location for the laid back, fun reception they planned. Michael and Kim – I wish you guys the best!!

Eric and Leah were married last Tuesday at the gorgeous Windsor downtown! Leah is an art major at ACU and had lots of great DIY design details that truly reflected how creative and talented she is! Congrats, you two!

A few weeks back Jonathan, Meagan, and Meagan’s mom, Debbie, met me out in Buffalo Gap super early in the morning for a sunrise session. We started out in Buffalo Gap, and also went to several downtown locations around Abilene. I can’t wait for their wedding next summer!

A few weeks back, I got to photograph Miss Bonnie. Crazy to say the least… she is one of my little sister’s good friends and I CANNOT BELIEVE that they are seniors!! I used to babysit Bonnie and her brother! Anyways, enough of that. Bonnie has turned into an amazingly beautiful young lady on the inside and out, and I was so happy to capture some senior photos for her and her family. Michael and Kim Sunrise Engagement Session {Abilene, Texas}

A couple of weeks back, I met Michael and Kim super SUPER early for a sunrise engagement session. Yes, I said sunrise. If you know me at all, you know I consider waking up before 9 early, so Kim and Michael, just know that I love you guys!! Truth be told, even though I can’t stand to wake up early, morning sunlight is OH.MY.COW. gorgeous!! I was giddy when the sun first started shining over the mountain out in Buffalo Gap. We actually had a guy in a truck come ask us what we were doing and two people called his cell phone while we were talking asking him if he was checking things out! Gotta love small town, USA. Kim and Michael, I hope you LOVE your engagement images as much as I do. I am so glad you love your canvas and metal print!

Buck and Meredith’s Wedding {Lubbock, Texas}

So a few weeks back Renee (one of my WONDERFUL second shooters!) and I headed up to Lubbock to photograph Buck and Meredith’s wedding at the Frazier Pavilion on Texas Tech’s campus. It was a beautiful venue with an equally beautiful bride. Meredith was so laid back on her wedding day, and it was a pleasure to get to hang out with her and Buck on their wedding day. Todd and Lauryn were married a few weeks back at the absolutely gorgeous Villa di Felicita in Tyler, Texas. Not only are Todd and Lauryn a super great couple, Lauryn is also my husband’s first cousin. This wedding was so neat to get to be a part of. Todd and Lauryn’s love was so apparent for each other, and they had lots of friends and family come together to be there for their big day.
