Ordering / Design Process

After all photo sessions, A Moment in Time Photography gives all clients the opportunity to have a Preview and Ordering Session.

Within two to three weeks after the photo session (4-6 weeks after a wedding) Jennifer will have a client meet her up at her studio in downtown Abilene, where we can watch a 10-20 minute slide show on a 46″ High Resolution LCD TV of the best images of the day. For seniors, families, maternity, etc. sessions, there will be between 45-65 images (average 50), and for weddings 100-200. After the slide show is over, we can go through all of the images together, and narrow down to the ones you wish to order! All orders from the Preview and Order Session receive 10% off! This is a great way to preview your images, as it is fun, relaxing, and you can get it all done in an hour or so! Clients are encouraged to bring along any and all decision makers (their spouses, etc.) to the meeting. After the previewing and ordering session, upon request, images will be posted to a password protected online gallery for 2 weeks for family and friends to view. Additional orders can be made through A Moment in Time Photography’s website if you would like more that what your ordered at the Preview and Ordering session, or if family and friends wish to order, this is a great way to do that as well. To prepare for a Preview and Ordering Session, think about what size prints / canvas gallery wraps would look good in your house, as well as making a list of all of the loved ones you wish to purchase prints for. (i.e. grandparents, parents, siblings, etc.) Many clients order canvases to go over their couches in their living rooms, the mantle above their fireplace, or above their bed in their bedroom. Canvases that are 20×30 – 30×40 generally fit these spaces the best. It is best to measure and plan ahead so that you can get the discount on ordering one!

If it will be inconvenient because of location for you to come to my studio, (i.e. you live out of town) we can do an Online Proofing Area. I will put the images that you would have seen on your preview and ordering session in a password protecting proofing gallery on my website for 2 weeks. That way, you can look in the convenience of your home (or work computer… I won’t tell!) to look through the images, and order on your time. Keep in mind that this option is not eligible for any discounts, and that the images are just up for 2 weeks, so make sure to order within that time frame to avoid any additional re-upload fees.

Print orders, once placed, take about one month to come in the mail. Please plan timelines accordingly.

Once your 2 weeks is up from online proofing, there is a $50 re-upload fee to upload the photos again, as well as a $25 per week hosting fee. Money to re-upload and host must be prepaid before this accommodation can be made. This fee goes towards prints.

All print and product orders, whether online, or at a Preview and Order session, are subject to sales tax. All orders are final.

ALBUMS:

After your wedding, Jennifer will choose her favorite images from the day that best tell your ‘wedding story’ to design into your custom album.

For a 20 side album, there will be approximately 30 images. Jennifer designs albums to have 3 images on average per spread, so a 20 side album has 10 spreads, or 30 photos. To tell an accurate wedding story, Jennifer usually chooses between 65 and 100 images. This results in needing extra spreads to keep consistency and flow in your album, without the album being overcrowded in design. Extra spreads, depending on the album, range from $35-$75 per spread.

Album design can take anywhere from 2-3 months. Once the design is final, I will post it to be approved in your password protected gallery. From there, I need an email confirmation approval, and any balance owed for additional pages to go ahead and send the order on to the printers!! If for any reason there is something you wish to change about your album, one round of minimal changes will be complimentary. Further rounds of changes will be $50 per round. This includes image swapping, and adding or removing spreads. If you approve Jennifer’s design with no changes needed, there will be a 15% discount on any extra spreads used.

After I get email confirmation to send the album on, it takes 8-12 weeks for the album to come in. I will contact the client when it comes in for a time for us to get together for me to present your album to you! I am also willing to ship the album directly to you for a fee of $25.
